Laboratory of Clinical Biochemical and Hormonal Studies on Internal Diseases

The main directions of scientific research

  • Study of pathophysiological and biochemical mechanisms of development of therapeutic diseases in residents of the Siberian region
  • Study of factors and biochemical markers of key pathophysiological mechanisms of atherosclerosis.
  • Development of new biochemical and biophysical methods for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases of atherosclerotic genesis and their new risk factors.
  • Proteomic studies of potential biomarkers of coronary atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndrome, as well as proteomic markers of unstable atherosclerotic plaque.
  • Development and introduction into clinical practice of modern methods for the diagnosis of hemostasis disorders and prevention of thrombosis.

Within the framework of these areas, the laboratory's researchers are searching and developing new technologies for early diagnosis and treatment of the studied diseases.

The laboratory is equipped with modern and high-precision equipment that allows you to quickly and efficiently conduct a wide range of research for both the scientific and clinical base of the Institute while ensuring accuracy, reliability and high quality of results.

On the basis of the laboratory, there is a City scientific and Practical Center for the Prevention of thrombosis.

For more than 10 years, the laboratory has been conducting joint research work with leading specialists of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "NMIC named after ak. E.N. Meshalkin".

The laboratory staff oversees and coordinates the collection of human biomaterials created at the Institute.

The topics of the laboratory's scientific works have been repeatedly supported by grants from both federal and regional levels. The laboratory staff are the authors and co-authors of more than 500 scientific papers, 12 patents. The results of scientific research are presented annually at Russian and foreign conferences, and are successfully published in Web of Science journals.
