  • problems of epidemiology and clinical course of thyroid diseases, diabetes mellitus in Siberian residents.
  • analysis of trends in morbidity and mortality of the population of Siberia from major chronic non-infectious diseases, study the effects of risk factors for CNID and search for new genetic, medical, social and environmental risk factors for endocrine diseases
  • development and implementation of technology for personalized prognosis (risk scale) of type 2 diabetes mellitus, autoimmune and orphan diseases of the endocrine profile, personalized treatment regimens for endocrine diseases.
  • The Laboratory of Clinical, Population and Preventive Research of Therapeutic and Endocrine Diseases was founded in 1990. From 1990 to 2014, Simonova Galina Ilyinichna, Higher doctorate degree of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, was in charge of the laboratory. At IIPM, with the active participation of Simonova G.I., work in the field of epidemiology and prevention of chronic non-infectious diseases was developed at the modern methodological level. Using standardized epidemiological programs, the morbidity and mortality of the Siberian population and therapeutic diseases were studied, which is a priority scientific direction of modern medicine.
  • Since 2014, the head of the laboratory is Oksana Dmitrievna Rymar, Higher doctorate degree of Medical Sciences, Chief Researcher. Rymar O.D. is the author of more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, co-author of 4 monographs and 3 textbooks for students and doctors. 3 patents have been issued for inventions describing new ways of predicting the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Under her guidance (consulting), 6 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertations were completed. The Hirsch index is 13. In 2015, Rymar O.D. was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation Policy of the Novosibirsk region for special merits in the development of medical science, long-term fruitful scientific and teaching activities. In 2020 awarded State Prize of the Novosibirsk region.
